About the role
Storm ID is an award-winning digital transformation consultancy, with clients spanning the public sector, healthcare, financial services and start-ups.
As a content designer at Storm, you’ll work with UX, design and technical colleagues to scope, design, prototype and build end-to-end digital services.
You’ll champion user-centred design and be a passionate advocate for UX best practice both with our clients and within Storm.

About you
You should have experience working as a content design or UX professional within an agency, in-house digital team or the public sector.
You're a forward-looking problem solver with a strong work ethic, positive outlook and a confident yet approachable manner. You’re comfortable working at pace and juggling multiple projects.
You’ll ideally have:
- digital agency, consultancy or public sector experience
- a solid understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards
- strong written English skills, with a good understanding of plain English and content design principles
You’ll also need to be:
- enthusiastic and motivated, with an appetite for learning
- a great communicator and collaborator
- unafraid to ask questions
- adept at solving problems
- organised and good at prioritising work
- focused, with sharp attention to detail
- passionate about improving outcomes for clients and their users
What you'll do
As a content designer at Storm, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects and apply your expertise in many different ways. Here are some of the things you’ll do:
- undertake content audits and usability reviews
- plan and facilitate co-design sessions and workshops
- create and test information architectures
- create and iterate content for digital services
- sketch and wireframe to help communicate your ideas
- support client content development (working with subject matter experts, managing freelance content creators, or writing and editing as needed)
- develop content governance approaches and style guides
- work with user researchers to conduct research and testing
- work with developers to define easy-to-use CMS structures
- juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and tight schedules
- promote the value of user centred content design to clients and stakeholders
- maintain a high awareness of content design best practice and trends
From day one
At least 33 days' holiday
You'll get 29 days' annual leave and 4 public holidays. Once you've worked here for 5 years, you'll get an extra day for every year you work up to 10 years. So you could end up with 38 days' holiday.
