Can you describe in a few sentences what your job involves?
My role mainly involves making sure projects are completed on time and on budget. It's not always an easy task, but I love that as a project manager I get a unique insight to what other departments do and help to bring skills together.
What career path did you take to get here?
I completed a First Class BA (Hons) in Management with Marketing. As part of my degree I completed a placement year in the Netherlands, where I got the first project management task that I loved.
After graduating I had a stint working as a paid search account manager, then decided I wanted to pursue a career in project management. I worked as a Project Support Officer in the NHS during the pandemic, and when I saw a role come up at Storm ID as an Associate Project Manager I knew it would be a great opportunity for my career to grow.
What's been your most rewarding project?
I recently worked on a Discovery project for the National Museum of Wales. It was the first time I've worked on a Discovery at Storm and I really enjoyed being involved in the early stages of a project with such an interesting client.
How do you find the work-life balance at Storm?
Storm are very supportive of a healthy work-life balance and always consider the wellbeing of their employees. I feel really fortunate to work here!
How have you grown at Storm?
I obtained my Scrum Master certificate as part of my post-probation training which was very useful to assist with running projects in an Agile framework. I was also recently promoted to Project Manager and I am super excited to see how my career grows at Storm.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I can play the cello, I have flown a plane (unsure if that is a talent or hobby), I make great coffee, and I can fit anything into my Ford Fiesta.
