Can you describe in a few sentences what your job involves?

I set up tagging on websites to understand and analyse user behaviour. This involves using tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. The work I do feeds into service reporting and data analysis and visualisations.

I also work with clients on business objectives and KPIs. Particularly through building out measurement frameworks to follow data obligations like GDPR.

What's been your most rewarding project?

Working with the Scottish Tourism Observatory was really rewarding. It was our first GA4 project, which led to some challenges that we were able to learn from and adapt to. It was very exciting to see the success of our first GA4 project.

What challenges you most in your role?

Each project and client are different. Each comes with varying business objectives and KPIs. This is challenging in that there's no one approach to a project. It's also what makes this work so exciting.

What makes you excited to come to work?

I enjoy how different my work can be from day-to-day and I like working on services that help people. I have also been promoted since joining Storm, its been very rewarding.

What career path did you take to get here?

My first job was in paid search, during which I discovered that I prefer the analytics side digital marketing.

I was looking to expand my knowledge and skills when I came across Storm. Storm's analytics services were exactly what I was looking for.

How do you find the work-life balance at Storm?

Storm offers great flexibility around working from home or the office. While I usually keep to a normal schedule, it's also been helpful to have some flexibility in working hours if I need it.

What do you enjoy most about life at Storm?

I joined Storm when the company during the Covid pandemic. Despite this, I didn't have any issues meeting people across the company, as everyone is very welcoming and friendly. It's been great to meet people in person as well - at the Christmas party and company away day.

How have you grown at Storm?

I have learned so much during my time at Storm. Because of the variety of client work, I have learned something new on every project. I also have the space to focus on my personal development in areas that interest me.

Do you have any hidden talents or interesting hobbies?

During the lockdown, I learned how to embroider (after exhausting the Netflix options!) I kept it up, and it has become a very relaxing hobby of mine!
